There will be a Celebration of Life and Open House for Tom Smith on June 29 in Apache Junction. It will take place at the Dirtwater Springs restaurant, located at 586 Apache Trail, from 3-7 p.m. He was the former president of Pinal Partnership. Here is the announcement.. . .The Board and Members of Pinal Partnership are saddened at the news of the passing of Tom Smith. Tom and his wife Sandie were founders of this organization and were the heart, soul, and spirit to us for many, many years.Tom served as our President until 2009. Sandie followed Tom as our President in 2009 after serving on the Pinal County Board of Supervisors until her term ended in 2008. Tom and Sandie are the epitome of public service and for decades were synonymous with Pinal County. So much of what we have come to take for granted and built upon in Pinal County today is thanks to Tom and Sandie year after year advocating for the good of the county.Pinal Partnership marks the passing of Tom with deep gratitude, and we extend our ongoing love, support, and gratitude to Sandie. We are here because you set us in motion. We continue to try to make good on the incredible and important vision both of you spent so many years bringing to fruition. The Celebration of Life for Tom Smith will be on June 29th from 3-7 p.m. at Dirtwater Springs 586 Apache Trail, Apache Junction. It is an Open House and folks are welcome to stop in and share fond memories of Tom. See MoreSee Less
