Post updated by Coolidge Police Dept. at 12:30pm.🚨UPDATE @ 3:45All roads are open in the area 🚨UPDATE @ 2:30The area is now clear and any evacuees may return home. Storey Road is still closed between Highway 87 and the railroad tracks. Those living in this area will need to wait just a while longer. 🚨UPDATE @ 1230No changes have been made to the original precautionary evacuations and past updates. The Coolidge Police Department is opening the council chambers as a place of refuge for anyone who is evacuating. Please come to our station at 911 S. Arizona Blvd. if you need a safe and cool place to stay. We will continue to provide updates from Coolidge Fire Department Chief Dillon as we receive them 🚨UPDATE @ 1111No changes have been made to the perimeter in place. Traffic is now blocked at both Kleck and Steele Roads East from Highway 87. The Training Center has been asked to shelter in place. We will continue to update as we receive information Earlier….🚨COMMUNITY ALERT 🚨 Coolidge Fire Department has requested this post to inform the public of an on-going fire call hazmat situation. There is a Precautionary Evacuation in place for the following perimeter:NORTH BORDER: Sacramento DriveSOUTH BORDER: Storey RoadEAST BORDER: Christensen RoadWEST BORDER: Highway 87 There is no fire, there is no smoke or plume. Winds are traveling northeast at this time. There is no standing recommendation to turn off air conditioning units. There is a request to those nearby the incident just outside the perimeter to shelter in place. Road closures at the time of the initial post are East of the railroad tracks at Storey Road.
